Behavioral Health Technician

Our office is looking to hire a skilled behavioral health technician to join our staff. You will work together with the Clinical Director, Therapists, Case Manager, and other staff members of the team to provide high-quality care to our clients. The person hired for this role will need to be personable, have a solid understanding of substance abuse and behavioral disorders, and be very detail oriented.

In this position, you will work with consumers who are struggling with addiction and one or more behavioral health issues. It will be your job to help implement their treatment plans, monitor their progress, and ensure that the care environment is safe and supportive. Behavioral Health Technician Responsibilities:

• Assist in the care of clients who are struggling with addiction and behavioral health issues
• Facilitate psychoeducation and life-skill groups
• Monitor the clients’ conditions and report any noteworthy variations to supervisors
• Assist in the creation of a safe and supportive care environment
• Offer crisis-intervention and emotional support to clients
• Carry out a variety of administrative tasks and assessments
• Follow all legal and professional guidelines for client confidentiality

Behavioral Health Technician Requirements:

• Associate degree or certification in behavioral health is preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Great energy and passion for group facilitation
• Person-centered and compassionate attitude towards clients
• Exceptional listening, writing, and communication skills
• Willingness and ability to treat patients with respect, empathy, and dignity
