Function title : Quality Engineer

Location : Winston Salem – N.C.

As Quality Engineer at the BekaertDeslee, you will be responsible for driving plant wide quality

improvement efforts, developing quality systems and metrics, supporting new process and product

introduction, and managing the quality assurance testing laboratory.

Success in this role will be accessed based on the ability to meet the key performance indicators that are

established for the categories under the role’s leadership.

Main responsibilities and Key Result Areas :

• Monitor process and product performance for adherence to standards, and initiate corrective

action when deviations occur.

collaboratively with the process engineer.

corrective actions are implemented in timely manner to ensure compliance.

First Quality (OTFQ) performance.

Engineer.

efficient production flow.

corresponding control plans.

developments are transitioned to production.

develop quality checks, test methods, training programs and visual aids for Production

operators.

and review, and develop / improve plant wide quality systems to ensure the plant is set up to

consistently deliver high quality finished product.

implementing significant changes to existing equipment.

Professional qualifications and knowledge :

combination of schooling and practical experience.

DOE, SPC, GR&R, CPk, APQP, etc. (Green or Black belt preferred)

BekaertDeslee USA employs about 290 persons and manufactures and sells mattress ticking to the abovementioned markets from its 270,000 sq. ft. plant and 171,000 sq. ft. warehouse. The plant consists of two main buildings with a preparation department for the production of weaving beams, a weave room with 40 jacquard looms, a knitting department with 45 circular knitting machines, a finishing department with 2 Tenter frames and a hot-melt machine, and other necessary equipment and a warehouse.
