JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Department: Computerized Tomography CT

Shift timings: 22:30 - 07:00 Monday to Friday (5 Days/8 Hours)

Per Week: 40 Hours

This would be Multimodality position (CT & X-Ray): Would need CT experience, we can train/refresh on XR

About the department: We have two Siemens CT machines, Carestream DR room and portable, GE portable and GE c-arms. The majority of patients are ED and surgery post-op.

The majority of CT exams are General and Angio.

Requirements: CT experience, ARRT, BLS -We are currently down 5 associates.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
• Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
• Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
• Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
• Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions.
• Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
• Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
• Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current CT Tech experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech/CT Tech program
• Active unencumbered Oklahoma CT Tech state license
• One year of Cerner experience
• ARRT

Requirements
