Surround View Camera System Feature Software Developer

Use your technical expertise to make driving safer, easier and better for our customers. The Advance Driver Assistance Technology (ADAS) team develops state-of-the-art software and algorithms to deliver best-in-class features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and 360 camera systems. ADAS also developed Ford's industry-first Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, securing over 60 patents in the process. The team is responsible for the full end-to-end delivery of these features into production on all Ford vehicle lines.

This position will require a software developer to own and maintain Simulink models for surround view camera work. The developer will run SIL and MIL testing as debugging of interface issues on the bench.

What you'll do…

• Design, develop, and deliver the feature Simulink model to meet feature level requirements and integrate within the production embedded software environment.
• Work with a team of system, hardware, software and controls engineers to deliver concept and production level software.
• Develop and execute test cases for MIL / SIL verification of feature model function and evaluate feature model behavior and impact on customer experience.
• Closely coordinate with other feature engineers to support execution of design verification plans to ensure proper feature-level performance.
• Support data resim and bench testing of feature model and algorithms to assess & improve performance of features.
• Ensure the feature model is properly delivered to meet software delivery & program timing.
• Work with software team to integrate and autocode feature model for production software.
• Support the validation of interfacing system / function models with the feature model.
• Work with tool developers to integrate feature model in larger co-simulation and ECU simulation environments.
• Work with the requirements owner, hardware in the loop, simulation, and vehicle test teams to establish simulation procedures to reduce dependency on vehicle level testing.
• Work with tier suplier to review their code and code coverage results as needed
