Lead Housekeeper

Responsibilities:

Performs all Environmental Service duties on the MCH Fillmore campus, such as dusting, washing windows, sweeping, mopping, buffing floors, etc.

Operates Environmental Service cleaning equipment used in cleaning and maintaining the facility.

Assesses general condition of facility floors and/or carpets and makes recommendations for corrective or preventive maintenance.

Order, inventory and distribute supplies to the MCH Fillmore Campus facilities.

Responsible for employee assignments and inspection of staff’s (MCH employee or contractor) work responsibilities to ensure compliance.

Responsible for evaluating staff’s (MCH employee or contractor) job performance and suggesting to the Maintenance Supervisor appropriate improvements that can or should be made.

Ensure that staff (MCH employees or Contractor) follow the policies and procedures of MFH as well as all regulatory agencies (i.e., health department, JCAHO, OSHA).

Will conduct regularly scheduled in-services and training for the Environmental Service staff on proper cleaning procedures.

Will conduct regular/random cleaning inspection of MCH facilities.

Work directly with the Maintenance Supervisor on employee disciplinary actions and terminations within the housekeeping department.

Performs other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Prefer high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years supervisory experience in housekeeping preferred.
• Organizational record keeping and filing skills preferred.
• Ability to use household appliances for cleaning facility.
• Ability to work under various working conditions.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Requires ability to perform heaving lifting when necessary.
