Hort Finishing Processor US

Location : Lansing MI 48906

Shift : 7 : 00 AM 3 : 00 PM Monday Friday

Duration : 13.5 months (approx.)

Requirements :

  • MUST be fully cleared prior to start
  • Steel toe shoes required

Job Summary

The Hort Finishing Processor plays a key role in product finishing operations by loading / unloading operating small machinery performing quality checks and ensuring consistent product accuracy. This position requires strong attention to detail comfort with automated machinery and adherence to safety and SOP standards.

Essential Job Functions

  • Operate small finishing machines
  • Perform hand stripping and general table work
  • Train new employees on full job functions
  • Use printing computers to generate carton labels
  • Read and follow SOPs and directions on job tickets
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Ensure consistent product quality
  • Perform minor maintenance on small machines
  • Count products and verify accuracy
  • Distinguish color to maintain quality standards
  • Work with machine-driven processes (card wrapper pixie strippers)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Work safely and efficiently in compliance with company policies

    • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to interact with automated machinery
  • Basic reading writing and communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend instructions and procedural documents
  • Ability to count measure and perform basic arithmetic
  • Basic computer skills
  • Reliable attendance
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Must pass color vision and color hue tests
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions with or without accommodation
