American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Day Shift Observation Unit position in a Level 1 Trauma setting, requiring Illinois RN licensure and Epic experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital-based Observation Unit on a medical floorServes an adult general medical patient populationLevel 1 Trauma experience requiredShift is 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, three 12-hour day shifts per weekUses Epic EMR; Epic experience is required13-week contract assignmentResponsible for assessment, planning, intervention, and documentation for a designated group of patientsMust assess IV sites every 4 hours and start new IVs as needed per policyMaintains high documentation standards as evidenced by quarterly chart auditsExpected to attend at least 5 of 6 staff meetings per yearMust adhere to department policy regarding coverage, attendance, and documentationRTO (requested time off) may not exceed 7 days during the 13-week contractReturning travelers may not work more than 1 year consecutively at the facility and require a 6-month break before returningNo travel partners accepted for this assignment\n \n Requirements\n
Active Illinois RN license required; temporary license acceptedMinimum of 1 year relevant nursing experienceBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association requiredDocumented Epic charting experience requiredDocumented Level 1 Trauma experience requiredASN required; BSN preferredMust live at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)\n Benefits\n
