[job_card.job_description]Work in a hospital-based Observation Unit on a medical floor Serves an adult general medical patient population Level 1 Trauma experience required Shift is 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, three 12-hour day shifts per week Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is required 13-week contract assignment Responsible for assessment, planning, intervention, and documentation for a designated group of patients Must assess IV sites every 4 hours and start new IVs as needed per policy Maintains high documentation standards as evidenced by quarterly chart audits Expected to attend at least 5 of 6 staff meetings per year Must adhere to department policy regarding coverage, attendance, and documentation RTO (requested time off) may not exceed 7 days during the 13-week contract Returning travelers may not work more than 1 year consecutively at the facility and require a 6-month break before returning No travel partners accepted for this assignment Active Illinois RN license required; temporary license accepted Minimum of 1 year relevant nursing experience Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required Documented Epic charting experience required Documented Level 1 Trauma experience required ASN required; BSN preferred Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted) High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
