From construction management and observation / inspection services to laboratory testing and materials and forensic engineering, our Construction Services market helps to develop and maintain America's infrastructure and supply chain and is a recognized industry leader with more than 25 accredited laboratories.

Step into Your New Role

As a Construction Inspector , you will perform general construction inspection tasks to verify compliance standards codes, and ordinances, zoning regulations, as well as contract plans, specifications, and special provisions. Projects will consist of bridges, roadways, and environmental components to these services.

This position is available in the Northern Virginia, Richmond, Lynchburg, Christiansburg, and Hampton Roads areas of VA.

Responsibilities :

• Inspects and monitors construction sites and the various work activities on these sites to verify adherence to standards, codes, and specifications.
• Prepares daily reports documenting inspections and other relevant project information.
• Verifies lines and grades of project improvements.
• Coordinate and perform field testing of materials associated with inspection as required.
• Implement quantity calculations for pay estimates.
• Performs analytical calculations such as basic earthwork, grading, profiles, and special staking procedures.
• Communicates verbally and in writing with contractor, owner, and project stakeholders as directed.
