Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,874 per week in Salem, OR

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : PCU Float Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in MS / Tele License : Active Registered Nurse license preferred Certifications : BLS required Must-Have : Strong telemetry or Intermediate Care experience required Description : Position requires an RN with experience in Med-Surg / Telemetry. Ratios are 1 : 4-6. First-time travelers are not accepted. Weekend requirements are every other weekend. Clinician may float as necessary. Local candidates are accepted. Pending licenses are allowed for submission. Provider must have experience in management of telemetry. Interpretation of cardiac rhythms is essential. Management of dysrhythmias and O2 protocol experience is required. Experience with peripheral line care / management is necessary. Understanding of isolation precautions and PPE is required. Experience with cardiac drips such as nitro and Cardizem is necessary. Rapid response team activation experience is required. Computerized documentation abilities are essential. The patient ratio for RN is 1 : 4-6. The patient ratio for CNA is 1 : 6-13 on days and 1 : 10-13 on nights. Support for a variety of patient diagnoses will be provided. Interdisciplinary support includes various healthcare teams. Special procedures may require float to the PCU. Equipment used includes IV pumps and enteral feeding pumps. Modules may be required for compliance purposes.
