We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days a week.

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team. The position requires the person to:

• Communicate and work with customers and associates at all levels
• Learn how to and then assist with reviewing and answering basic inquiries from customers.
• Learn how to and then make computer inquiries and entries relating to customer accounts
• Learn how to and then communicate with customers and others as needed to research problems and find solutions
• Learn how to and then collect pertinent information from customers to handle inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prioritize and organize work to ensure it is completed in a timely manner.
• Document customer requests and Learn how to and then assist agents with basic tasks.
• Work with confidential and/or sensitive information, data, and matters in accordance with Company standards.
• Maintain punctual attendance according to an assigned work schedule at a Company approved work location.
• Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere upon request

Desired Skills & Experience:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent is required
• Direct insurance agency/company experience is a plus
• Must type a minimum of 40 words per minute with 85% accuracy
• Flexibility for occasional and/or seasonal overtime
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple assignments
