The Cardiovascular Intervention Center is a core element of the Smidt Heart Institute, performing more than 8,000 procedures a year. The department serves the populations of neonates to and including geriatrics. In this twelve-laboratory facility, we perform a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for coronary artery disease, heart muscle function and heart valve dysfunction.

Summary of Essential Duties :

• The Cardiovascular Technician / Radiology Tech assists in all procedures performed in the Cardiovascular Intervention Center and is a member of the Electrophysiology Lab
• Provides a safe patient care environment, maintains and operates the physiological monitoring / recording system for both interventional cardiac and electrophysiology studies
• Assists physicians by functioning as scrub tech, monitor role or assistant circulator, archives all digital images and documents all actions taken by the EP Lab
• Responsible for being able to setup and operate all equipment within the department that may be required for a given procedure including but not limited to : Electrophysiology studies, Ablation, Pacemakers and ICD implants

Hours for this position will be 9 : 00am to 7 : 30pm four shifts per week.
