Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driving

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driving in Gilroy, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols by vehicle while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate : $19.00 / Hour

Mon 11 : 00 AM - 07 : 30 PM

Thur 11 : 00 AM - 07 : 30 PM

Fri 11 : 00 AM - 07 : 30 PM

Sat 11 : 00 AM - 07 : 30 PM

Sun 11 : 00 AM - 07 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the retail / mall location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail / mall premises and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Support emergency response activities as required by the location's procedures.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to address security-related matters and / or customer concerns.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post and is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
