CVOR RN Job Details Location : Washington, DC 20010 (prime location for DC nursing jobs) Estimated Weekly Salary : $2130 - $2280 Assignment Length : 13-week travel nurse contract Start Date : January 5, 2026 End Date : April 6, 2026 Shifts : 3x12-hour shifts per week (Day : 06 : 30-19 : 00 or Evening : 11 : 00-23 : 30) On Call : 6 calls per 6-week schedule; includes one weekend or holiday per 6 weeks Float : May float to general surgery if no CVOR cases available Patient Population : Adult and geriatric patients Unit : 23-room Cardiovascular OR; 60 surgical cases / day, 8-10 open heart surgeries / day Parking : On-campus parking provided CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications Active DC Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending accepted; must be active before start date) BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience, including circulating in Level 1 trauma settings At least one completed travel nurse assignment Experience with Cerner electronic charting system preferred Flu vaccination required (no exemptions) Two supervisor references required CVOR RN Responsibilities Circulate and assist in complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, including CABG, valve replacements, LVAD, heart transplants, and endovascular procedures Deliver expert patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity CVOR environment Float to general surgery as needed to support hospital operations Participate in on-call rotation, including occasional weekends and holidays Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, radiology, pharmacy, and support staff) Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety protocols Take the next step in your nursing career with this top-rated Washington, DC CVOR travel nurse job.
