Intake specialist

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Home Health Intake specialist to join our growing team. This is a full-time, Hybrid position with salary and benefits. The right candidate will play a critical role in ensuring smooth office operations and compliance within a home health setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient visits and coordinate care.
• Run EMR reports to ensure proper visit types and frequencies are accurately plotted.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner.
• Participate in on-call rotation (one weekend per month).
• Enter new patients into EMR system and set up intake files.
• Verify patient benefits and create patient care threads.
• Submit authorizations as required to support patient care.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years minimum experience in a home health office setting.
• Proficiency with Kinnser (WellSky) EMR.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements in a healthcare environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• $55,000 annual salary.
