This opportunity begins on Dec 22, 2025, and offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, with light call responsibilities. The assignment focuses primarily on general nephrology cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with the majority of time spent in the hospital. Job Details Location : Kentucky Start Date : Dec 22, 2025 LOA : 14 days Provider Type Needed : Nephrologist Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm; light call from nurses; covering both inpatient and outpatient, mostly hospital-based Responsibilities and Duties Evaluate and manage patients with high blood pressure, kidney disease related to diabetes and hypertension, polycystic kidney disease, and kidney / renal failure Diagnose and treat conditions such as blood or protein in urine, inflammation of the kidneys, kidney stones, and electrolyte imbalances (high or low potassium) Oversee dialysis and home dialysis care as needed Provide nephrology consultations and follow-ups in both inpatient and outpatient settings Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals Maintain accurate and timely medical records Participate in light on-call duties as assigned Additional Information Board certification in Nephrology required Must hold or be eligible for a Kentucky medical license Previous experience in general nephrology and hospital-based care preferred Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
