[job_card.job_description]Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar). Collaborate with production, patternmaking, and machining teams to optimize designs for manufacturability. Review customer drawings, specifications, and requirements to ensure compliance. Support process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for design optimization. Assist in troubleshooting design or casting issues during production. Maintain accurate documentation and project records. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience in foundry or casting design (preferred). Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar). Knowledge of foundry processes, materials, and manufacturing principles. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. This position plays a key role in bridging engineering design with production efficiency to ensure quality and cost-effective casting solutions.
