[job_card.job_description]Up to 100% tuition coverage through scholarship and loan repayment programs. Competitive salary. Free health insurance. Free housing. Retirement plan. 30 days of paid vacation per year. High School Students : NROTC Nurse Option scholarships covering up to $180,000 in nursing education. Nursing Students : Up to $34,000 through the Nurse Candidate Program (NCP). Graduate Students : Up to $50,000 in loan repayment assistance for certain specialties. Practicing Nurses : A one-time sign-on bonus of up to $30,000, depending on specialty. U.S. citizen, 18–41 years old. Licensed and practicing nurse in the U.S. (new graduates must obtain a license within one year of Active Duty). Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE-accredited program.

Nursing Careers in the Navy
- Nurse Anesthetists : Administer general and regional anesthesia, monitor patients, and assist in training medical personnel.
- Primary Care Nurse Practitioners : Provide comprehensive health care for service members and their families.
- Medical-Surgical Nurses : Provide direct nursing care of patients and assume charge nurse responsibilities.
- Perioperative Nurses : Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care of surgical patients.
- Critical Care Nurses : Provide highly skilled nursing care to critical patients, including en route care.
- Mental Health Nurses & Nurse Practitioners : Provide direct mental health services and lead care teams.
- Military-Specific Specializations : Education and training, manpower systems analysis, and nursing research.
