What Will You Be Doing?
The Manager, Debt & Capital Markets plays a pivotal role within the Treasury team, overseeing the company’s debt portfolio, capital structure strategy, and key financial relationships. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of debt financing, capital markets activity, and financial risk mitigation, while also leading strategic initiatives that support the company’s long-term financial health.
This role will serve as the primary liaison with lenders, rating agencies, and capital markets participants, ensuring optimal financing terms, covenant compliance, and alignment with corporate objectives. The manager will also lead debt modeling, scenario analysis, capital planning, and execution of both public and private financing transactions, while supporting broader treasury and corporate finance initiatives.
Essential Functions
Debt & Capital Markets Strategy (50%) Lead the development and execution of the company’s debt and capital markets strategy, including public and private debt issuance, revolving credit facilities, term loans, and structured finance.
Manage the full lifecycle of existing debt instruments, including term loans, revolving credit facilities, private placements, and other financing vehicles.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with banks, institutional lenders, and rating agencies.
Monitor and ensure compliance with all debt covenants and reporting requirements.
Evaluate and recommend financing structures to optimize cost of capital and liquidity.
Support investor relations and executive leadership with capital markets insights and materials.
Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis (30%) Lead capital planning and forecasting processes, including debt service and liquidity modeling.
Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing to support strategic decision-making.
Partner with FP&A and accounting teams to align treasury forecasts with broader financial plans.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement (15%) Manage cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, and operations.
Present financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to a high-performing treasury culture.
Risk Management & Market Analysis (5%) Collaborate with legal and operations to assess and manage financial exposure.
Monitor macroeconomic and interest rate trends to inform hedging and risk strategies.
