- Execute entry- to mid-level break-fix and preventative maintenance to maximize equipment availability.
- Adjust functional parts and control instruments to optimize performance; repair / replace defective components; recondition or repair machine tools.
- Identify and request required parts, supplies, and repair materials.
- Provide cross-coverage for department teammates as directed by leadership.
- Apply maintenance industry standards while enforcing 5S and housekeeping expectations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives—document processes, report results, and support cost-reduction efforts.
- Set up and operate basic machining equipment (lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools) to fabricate / repair parts; perform basic welding as needed.
- Update work records and review CMMS history to inform maintenance actions and root-cause decisions.
- Troubleshoot basic control systems circuitry.
- Pursue technical self-study to advance your capabilities and career.
- Follow all safety policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines; maintain situational awareness and call out unsafe behaviors or conditions.
Must-Haves
High school diploma or GED.Associate degree with a technical concentration, or 18 months of relevant general-industry experience, or completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.Working knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical systems with hands-on repair ability.Proficiency with basic hand tools.Work Setting & Physical Requirements
Regular standing and walking; frequent hand use; reaching; climbing / ascending / descending / balancing at heights via ladder or lift.Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; frequent talking and hearing; occasional sitting.Occasional lifting / moving of more than 50 lbs.Regular need for close and color vision.Occasional exposure to outdoor weather and risk of electrical shock.Typical environment is a loud factory setting with potential exposure to hazardous materials and greasy / slippery floors.Systems & Skills You Speak Fluently
