About the MSMA Program
The MS in Management and Analytics (MSMA) program offers students the opportunity to develop and / or deepen their competencies and skills in data-driven organizational decision-making. More specifically, the program emphasizes the combination of a deep understanding of data analytic approaches and techniques - i.e., the conceptual know-why - and the development of robust, hands-on data analytic skills and competencies, i.e., applied know-how, which we see as a critical mechanism for developing academically rich and application-ready data management and analysis skill sets. With that goal in mind, the courses that comprise the 36-credit MSMA program rely heavily on hands-on, experiential learning where students use real-world data to answer commonly encountered business problems. Lastly, students can choose from one of four (4) areas of concentration : Business Analytics, Risk Analytics, Business Informatics, and Applied Research.
