Property Clerk

Property Clerk reports to the Property Supervisor and is an hourly, non-exempt position. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the property / inventory control functions. Demonstrates on-going commitment to preparing young people for the workforce by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring excellence in the eight Career Success Standards of : workplace relations and ethics; information management; communications; multicultural awareness; personal growth and development; career and personal planning; interpersonal skills and independent living.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Demonstrates and abides by ALEUT Core Values and operating principles.
• Monitors shipping and receiving activities.
• Ensures that center equipment and supplies are ordered, received, and distributed.
• Posts and maintains shipping, receiving, inventory records and documents in accordance with center and DOL regulations.
• Monitors the use of consumable items.
• Monitors maintenance of perpetual inventory.
• Screens excess property list for possible utilization on center.
• Arranges for disposition of excess materials in accordance with procedures as stated in the Property Handbook.
• Monitors the procurement of supplies, materials and equipment for General Services Administration, self-service store, and other vendors.
• Monitors maintenance of accurate records on the physical location of all center property.
• Attends required staff training sessions.
• Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills including personal responsibility and computer fluency.
• Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property, adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
• Cultivates and maintains a climate on center that is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
