Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Location : Eastern Seattle, Washington
Status : FTE Days
About the Role
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you’ll play a hands-on role in helping patients restore movement, improve function, and regain independence. Working side-by-side with Physical Therapists, you’ll provide individualized treatments, support wellness education, and ensure patients receive compassionate, high-quality care.
What You’ll Do
- Implement treatment plans designed by licensed Physical Therapists
- Lead patients through therapeutic exercises, functional training, and mobility programs
- Provide manual therapy and use therapeutic equipment / modalities as directed
- Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to support recovery at home
- Assist with screenings, evaluations, and progress tracking
- Train patients in safe use of prosthetics, orthotics, and assistive devices
- Maintain accurate documentation to track progress and support care continuity
- Collaborate with rehab teams to achieve the best patient outcomes
- Contribute to equipment upkeep and safe clinical practices
