Quality Technician Whitehall MI

Salary Range : $41000 - $64000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Whitehall seeking Quality Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process final and incoming inspections of products and materials to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct various tests (e.g. dimensional functional visual) using precision measuring equipment.
  • Document inspection and test results accurately and maintain comprehensive quality records.
  • Identify quarantine and report non-conforming materials or products initiating appropriate corrective actions.
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection measurement and test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective / preventative actions for quality issues.
  • Support the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers micrometers gauges).
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001) and industry quality standards.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective / preventive action processes.
  • Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data collection methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

    • Bonus Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or other relevant professional certification.
  • Experience with CMM programming or advanced metrology equipment operation.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g. Minitab JMP).
  • Internal auditing experience against ISO 9001 or industry-specific standards.
