The BCA Safety and Airworthiness
(SAW) Integration Senior Manager is responsible for
integrating all SAW Chiefs across BCA Engineering to ensure key
strategic objectives, standards, and processes are consistently
applied. This role will identify and lead the development of
training, performance metrics, and community-wide best practices
for the SAW community. Acting on behalf of the CPE office, the
Senior Manager will partner closely with Certification Leaders and
functional engineering chiefs to drive alignment, readiness, and
execution against enterprise safety, airworthiness, and
certification goals. This position will be located in
Everett, Washington.
Position Responsibilities :
Serve as the primary integrator across all SAW Chiefs within BCA to
ensure consistent application of strategic objectives, policies,
and technical standards.
Act on behalf of the
CPE office to represent SAW priorities and ensure alignment with
certification strategy and executive direction.
Integrate with Certification Leaders and
Functional Engineering Chiefs to coordinate cross-functional
resolution of safety, certification, and regulatory issues.
Integrate and champion BCA Safety Management
System (SMS) processes across SAW functions — ensure SMS hazards,
risk controls, safety assurance activities, and safety promotion
are embedded into engineering, certification, and program
workflows; coordinate SMS inputs / outputs with enterprise safety and
regulatory requirements.
Identify gaps and
lead the development of targeted training programs for the SAW
community to elevate technical capability, regulatory knowledge,
and process adherence.
Define, implement, and
maintain performance metrics and dashboards that measure SAW
community effectiveness, risk posture, and progress on corrective
actions.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and
lessons-learned capture across models, programs, and functional
teams; institutionalize best practices.
Lead
cross-functional working groups to resolve complex technical,
safety, and certification challenges; prepare and present concise
risk-focused briefings to stakeholders.
Support readiness activities for external engagements (e.g.,
regulator meetings, Cross Model Safety Review Board) and ensure
appropriate SMEs are identified and prepared.
Drive continuous improvement of SAW processes, including change
classification, DAE / DDE governance, and COSP-related workflows.
Community-wide training curriculum assessment and rollout plan for
SAW personnel.
Metrics and reporting suite
that tracks SAW performance, open actions, and certification risk
indicators.
Cross-functional integration
plans for major certification initiatives and safety events.
Regular executive-level briefings reflecting
SAW status, risks, and recommended decisions.
Documented best practices and lessons-learned library accessible to
the SAW community.
This
position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will
be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills / Experience) :
Bachelor of Science degree
from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering
technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology),
chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
10+ years of experience in aircraft safety,
airworthiness, certification, or regulatory affairs, including
cross-functional leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience interfacing with certification authorities
and acting as an Applicant representative or equivalent.
Proven ability to design and implement
training programs and measurable performance metrics.
Strong stakeholder management skills and
experience working with executive leadership, certification teams,
and engineering chiefs.
Direct collaboration
with CPE office leadership, Certification Leaders, SAW Chiefs,
functional engineering chiefs, RA&A, Supplier Quality, and
regulatory counterparts.
Regular engagement
with Enterprise SMS, Cross Model Safety Review Board, Product
Security Review Board, and other governance bodies.
Preferred Qualifications
(Desired Skills / Experience) :
Bachelor’s degree in
Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical
discipline; advanced degree preferred.

Pay is based
upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and
business considerations.
Summary Pay Range : $176,800 - $239,200
