Position Title : Memory Support CNA

Overview : The Certified Nursing Assistant assists the Residents with their activities of daily living and performs non-medical duties while ensuring the highest degree of safety for the Residents.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES :

The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Assists residents with personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed, while utilizing proper equipment such as gait belts, back braces and mechanical lifts.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
• Checks vital signs
• Provides skin care, non-diabetic nail care and peri-care.
• Provides application of compression hose, braces or prosthetics.
• Maintains safe and sanitary work stations and equipment.
• Encourages independence, attendance at activities, restorative programs and rehabilitation.
• Attends in-service training and education session, as assigned including updated regulatory and culture change training.
