The Finance Manager provides comprehensive accounting and financial support, requiring a deep understanding of GAAP, CRM, and ERP system functionalities. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, proper revenue recognition, effective internal controls, and driving process improvements.
The Finance Manager will interact frequently with both regional and corporate teams, including Accounting (AR / AP / Cost), FP&A, and operations, serving as a financial liaison and resource. The role oversees regional revenues of approximately $20–$25 million.
Key Responsibilities :
Serve as a strategic partner to the West Region’s sales and operations teams; offer insights to support business growth and efficiencyAnalyze key financial data and communicate insights to the West Regional Manager and Management TeamEnsure accurate accounting treatment in alignment with GAAP; identify and implement process improvementsSupport accounting functions including internal controls, revenue recognition, contract compliance, and ERP (Infor) and business intelligence system (Phocas) utilizationAssist in regional and corporate financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and special projects in collaboration with the Controller, VP of Finance, Director of FP&A, and CFOLead the preparation and maintenance of the Weekly Flash Report, with an emphasis on forecasting 120-day revenue and EBITDA accuracyTake direct ownership of financial aspects related to accounts receivable / payable, payroll, inventory, capital expenditures, and internal controlsProcess and manage capital expenditure requests; maintain the fixed asset ledger and track inventory additions to the rental fleetReview branch and regional sales, margins, and EBITDA to identify anomalies and discuss findings with the relevant managersEnsure adherence to financial processes, review contracts for proper revenue recognitionAnalyze cost center performance against budget, forecast, and prior year data; work with leadership to meet utilization and pricing objectivesProvide financial support for pricing decisions and contract negotiationsReview of customer contracts requiring corporate approvalSupport internal and external audit processes, including SOX compliance and financial controls documentationGeneral Skills / Competencies :
Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectivelyHigh attention to detail with strong organizational skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProficient in Microsoft Excel (including financial modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUP), PowerPoint, and ERP / CRM systemsCapable of working independently and collaboratively within a teamSelf-motivated, with a proactive approach to business activitiesAdaptable to change with a consistently positive attitude toward customers, colleagues, and leadershipQualifications :
Located in the Denver, Phoenix, or Los Angeles areaBachelor’s Degree in Accounting3–4 years of relevant accounting experienceCPA, MBA, or CPA-eligible preferredWilling to travel up to 30% of the timeKnowledge of inventory management, forecasting, budgeting, internal controls, and capital investment evaluationStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Infor and Phocas preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working with stakeholders across all levels of the organization
