[job_card.job_description]Examine patients, perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram and laboratory tests; interpret test results for deviations from normal Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care; manage infection Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes and assist in provision of continuity of care Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living and health maintenance Physician Assistant : Completion of accredited PA program Nurse Practitioner : Completion of accredited NP program; Master's degree in Nursing 2 or more years related healthcare experience and / or training Physician Assistant : Current NC medical license; certified by the NCCPA Nurse Practitioner : Current NC Board of Nursing RN and NP license; certified as a Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC Current BLS certification
