Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.Eight (8) years of experience in project management, application development and database design.Three (3) years of supervisory experience.Key Responsibilities
Manages the Business Applications Support division that provides application support for all the business application packages deployed at the City. Application support ranges from resolving help desk questions to writing new extract reports to building new interfaces and special applications. Included also is implementation of new application modules. This group is also responsible for database & web application development.Manages and provides guidance to the staff, and prepares the annual performance evaluations. Revises job descriptions, divisional duties, goals and objectives as required.Schedules and monitors job priorities and assignments for staff to ensure optimal service delivery.Assists with Requests For Proposals for new business information systems; defines system specifications and technical requirements; reviews RFP responses from vendors; and provides recommendations regarding vendor selection.Performs contract administration for assigned procured applications; ensures software applications and related services meet identified City needs and performance specifications; works with vendors to resolve performance and operational problems.
