SUMMARY :

Join our dedicated team in providing exceptional nutritional care for patients at Unity Health System. As a Registered Dietitian, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nutritional needs of our patients in the Renal Dialysis Unit within our state-of-the-art outpatient facility, located just three miles from Rochester General Hospital. Our team is supported by clinical, social work, and nutrition experts who specialize in dialysis care.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary Nephrology team to enhance the nutritional status of patients.
• Communicate with healthcare staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to nutritional care.
• Counsel individuals and families on nutrition principles, customizing advice to fit their economic, educational, and lifestyle needs.
• Regularly review and assess monthly clinical and lab data for chronic patients, documenting findings and dietary counseling in a timely manner.
• Participate in multidisciplinary patient care conferences within thirty days of patient admission and every six months thereafter.
• Monitor Urea Reduction Ratio data and perform kinetic modeling as necessary, documenting results accurately.
• Consult on nursing home and acute renal failure admissions as needed.
• Assist in the orientation of new staff and provide ongoing educational in-services.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION : BS (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS :

RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

M - Medium Work - Involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

PAY RANGE : $30.50 - $38.50

The listed base pay range reflects a good faith representation of potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant and may be modified in the future. Pay is influenced by factors including experience, qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
