Senior Manager, Marketing Planning And Strategy
We're looking for a strategic and creative Senior Manager, Social Strategy to shape how Walmart Connect shows up on social starting with LinkedIn, our primary storytelling channel. In this role, you'll lead the strategy, content approach, and performance measurement for LinkedIn while building the roadmap for Walmart Connect's future social presence. You'll balance creativity and strategy crafting punchy, scroll-stopping content that elevates our voice in retail media, while establishing scalable processes, analytics, and advocacy programs. You'll work cross-functional with Comms, Creative, Events, Product Marketing, Sales, and more to ensure social becomes a powerful channel for storytelling, visibility, and engagement. This role reports to the Director, Brand & Content Strategy.

Key responsibilities include : leading the LinkedIn channel strategy, overseeing content planning, publishing cadence, tone, and community engagement; creating and managing a formalized intake process for internal stakeholders; developing and maintaining a social calendar informed by the broader marketing calendar, key events, and thought leadership opportunities; balancing reactive moments with proactive, social-first storytelling; translating long-form content into short, engaging, and shareable posts; partnering with design and video teams to bring content to life; developing and executing 360 social strategies for Tier 1 events; driving a holistic amplification approach across owned content, internal executive advocacy, and external partner or client amplification; collaborating with internal partners and agency teams to ensure content aligns with Walmart Connect's voice, tone, and visual identity; building and managing an advocacy strategy that empowers Walmart Connect's partners, advertisers, and team members to champion our story; defining and tracking key LinkedIn metrics reach, engagement, impressions, share of voice, and benchmark performance; providing regular reports and insights to demonstrate impact and identify content themes that resonate; beginning exploring emerging social channels relevant to the B2B and retail media landscape; identifying opportunities for scalable, test-and-learn pilots that expand Walmart Connect's reach to new audiences; bringing forward best practices, competitive insights, and innovative ideas to keep the brand at the forefront of social storytelling.
Core skills and competencies include : exceptional writing skills sharp, clear, and creative across both long-form storytelling and short-form, high-impact copy; strategic understanding of LinkedIn as a brand storytelling and thought leadership platform; a strong grasp of social content strategy, governance, and stakeholder intake processes; proven ability to lead and mentor contractors or external partners, while remaining comfortable as a hands-on individual contributor; design and video sensibility able to brief creative effectively and ensure assets are optimized for performance; a data-driven and analytical mindset; skilled at translating performance metrics into insights and recommendations; deep understanding of B2B or retail media communications, with the ability to craft messages that balance creativity and credibility; strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across Marketing, Creative, Sales, and Leadership teams.
Minimum qualifications include : 10+ years of experience in social media strategy, content marketing, or digital communications, preferably for a large brand, media company, or agency; proven success managing LinkedIn or B2B social channels that drive brand awareness and engagement; exceptional writing skills with experience crafting social-first content for executive or brand voices; a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field; design or video experience (hands-on or collaborative) a plus; experience managing advocacy or ambassador programs; familiarity with social analytics tools; experience in retail media, digital advertising, or B2B tech; comfortable experimenting with emerging channels like TikTok for Business, YouTube, or Threads for thought leadership content.
