Description

Team Fishel is hiring Class A Electric Lineworkers for our Hampton, VA operation. The purpose of a Lineworker at Team Fishel is to participate and successfully complete a rigorous Journeyman Lineworker training program and develop on-the-job skills on the way to becoming an Electric Lineworker.

Apprentice Lineworkers will be able to competently and confidently perform in a highly skilled and safe manner all the duties associated with the construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high voltage electrical power systems up to and including Transmission, Distribution, Overhead, and Underground.

Requirements

• Possessing a Class A Commercial Driver License strongly desired
• Previous experience or education in electric linework required
• Participate in the Apprentice Lineworker training program including after-hours studies
• Cut and clear brush at ground level
• Provide ground support for lineman operating in aerial bucket, on pole, trenches, or underground facility environment
• Operate heavy machinery involved with digging, setting, and tamping poles, pulling overhead and underground conductors, digging and back-filling trenches or other excavations and hurt man rescue by operating platform controls of aerial bucket
• Assemble & disassemble hardware for overhead & underground installations in a de-energized environment with instruction from Journeyman Lineworker
• Other duties as assigned
