Strong understanding of JavaScript and interactions with backend services (REST, etc.). Excellent communication skills and a proven track record in a distributed team environment. Pragmatic approach to timelines, including trade-offs and safeguards for new functionality implementation. Experience collaborating with product managers and non-engineering teams. Professional experience in Rust programming. Experience in developing cross-platform desktop applications, particularly with low-level systems programming like Cocoa APIs on macOS or GTK on Linux. As part of the Firefox team, you will work with dedicated engineers committed to delivering the fastest, most user-friendly browser possible. The Enterprise team focuses on optimizing Firefox for large-scale deployments. In this role, you'll lead efforts related to OS integration, including updates, installations, and system compatibility, helping us to expand our user base. You will contribute to Firefox across desktop platforms like Windows, Linux, and macOS.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll take part in architectural discussions and drive feature development. You will be expected to work independently on specific projects, collaborate closely with your team, and deliver high-quality software that meets our goals.
