[job_card.job_description]Work in an LDRP unit within a critical access hospital Patient population includes labor & delivery, postpartum, hyperbilirubinemia, preterm labor, and triage Unit includes 4 L&D beds, 6 postpartum beds, and 1 triage bed Requires working 12-hour rotating day and night shifts (7a-7 : 30p and 7p-7 : 30a), with shifts rotating every 3 weeks Every third weekend and every third holiday required Call required with a 1-hour response time Floating to MedSurg / Peds unit when OB census is low Epic EMR used in the unit Philips telemetry monitors are used; RNs are responsible for monitoring and reading strips RNs provide care for OB and postpartum patients and must be able to float to MedSurg / Peds as needed Charge nurse available each shift; may take patient assignment if necessary On-call anesthesiologist and OB / Neonatologist support RNs are responsible for monitoring and reading their own telemetry strips; additional support from ICU and charge nurses available No dress code; any color scrubs permitted One 12-hour unit-specific orientation shift provided All RTO must be submitted up front; additional RTO after submission will not be approved First-time travelers are welcome to apply Active MN RN license required at time of submission; compact not accepted Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required At least 1 year of recent L&D experience required Experience in both MedSurg / Peds and L&D required Ability to titrate drips including OB (Pitocin), ICU cardiac drips, heparin, and sedation drugs Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility Cannot have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health within the past year High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
