The Runner at Neighborly is essential in delivering a memorable dining experience. This role goes beyond just delivering food; it involves maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant environment, anticipating and fulfilling guest needs, and serving as a bridge between the kitchen and the front of house. Through friendly interactions, proactive service, and a commitment to guest satisfaction, this position helps foster an atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Deliver food orders to guests, verifying each order for accuracy before presenting it.

Keep tables, floors, and bus stations clean and organized. Prioritize a clean, well-maintained dining space, including routine restroom checks, sweeping, and emptying trash to ensure an inviting atmosphere.

Regularly check in with guests to ensure they have everything they need, such as silverware, beverages, or additional items.

Interact with guests with genuine hospitality and make every guest feel welcome

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS :

Excellent communication and people skills with a friendly, guest-focused demeanor

Sense of urgency and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work collaboratively with team members

Strong attention to detail

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize

Able to work flexible hours as necessary

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

Previous experience in food service is preferred

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

Must have the ability / stamina to work a minimum of 24 hours a week

Ability to stand / walk for up to 8 hours per day

Must be able bag / box orders, lift and carry up to 25 lbs

Must be able to tolerate potential allergens to include peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish

Starting at $16.50 / hour
