Job Description & Requirements Specialty : ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline : RN Start Date : 01 / 05 / 2026 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel ICU Float Pool RN - Job Requirements Experience Minimum 2 years ICU experience If first-time traveler : must have 3 years ICU experience AND Epic experience Must be comfortable with MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU patient populations Must be able to titrate all critical drips (pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, etc.) Must be able to read and interpret their own cardiac strips Must be able to assist with respiratory management (vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High-Flow) Licenses Active state RN license (required to submit) Driver's License (due to 60-mile radius rule) Certifications BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) NIHSS TNCC Education BSN not required Skills / Must-Have Ability to float to all ICU types Must float to all facilities within Zone 1 : PEN, SFM, SFI, SMC, STM (No home-base facility) Comfortable caring for high-acuity patients (CRRT, IABP, Impella) Able to work without CNA support (no aides except for sitter needs) Shift / Scheduling Requirements 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) Must work 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule Schedule assigned by leadership; traveler must be flexible All PTO / time-off must be submitted before start May be asked to float to ICU, PCU / Stepdown, or Med-Surg Tele Rare call / standby for low census Orientation 12 hours 1-2 days unit orientation Must be in-state for orientation week (even if first-day modules are remote) Other Requirements Must live within 60 miles (housing must allow access to entire zone) Charting : Epic Scrubs : Any color No home base-must float across Zone 1 facilities : St. Francis Medical Center St. Francis InterQuest St. Mary Corwin St. Thomas More 1008498 About First Connect Health At First Connect Health , we take pride in being a Joint Commission-certified healthcare staffing agency , headquartered in Newark, New Jersey.
