Freelance Technical Designer (New York)

Our client is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team on a contract basis in their New York office.

Responsibilities :

• Execute the technical design process from development to final fit.
• Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications.
• Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications.
• Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors / factories for approvals and corrections.
• Create CAD flats for tech packs.
• Direct Assistant / Associate Technical Designers.
• Lead fittings and oversee fit comments.
• Partner closely with the design team.
