Shift : 8am-5pm Mon - Fri

Vaccines Required : Hepatitis B, TB, MMR, T-DAP, Varicella

Pediatric and geriatric experience is essential.

Summary

As an Entry-Level Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare team by performing blood draws and other specimen collections while ensuring patient comfort and safety. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations and enhance your skills in a supportive environment.

Position Responsibilities :

• Perform blood draws and specimen collections, ensuring proper techniques and patient care.
• Label and centrifuge specimens with accuracy.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination procedures effectively.
• Ensure patient information is up-to-date and accurately documented.
• Communicate the blood draw process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Understand and execute physicians' orders with precision.
• Verify laboratory requisition forms against specimen tubes for accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport, following all protocols to maintain sample integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in annual department training and stay current with best practices.
• Manage inquiries regarding laboratory results via phone calls.
