Description
Clean Harbors in St. Paul MN is seeking a Household Hazard Waste Technician I to support the CleanPack and Treatment and Disposal business. The HHW Technician supports the Countys Household Hazardous Waste Program by safely unloading materials from resident vehicles and properly segregating hazardous waste electronics and other accepted items. This role involves hands-on work attention to safety procedures and interaction with the public.

Schedule :
TuesdayFriday : 10 : 30 AM 6 : 30 PM
Saturday : 8 : 30 AM 4 : 30 PM
OFF MONDAY / SUNDAY
Monday : Optional shift available for additional hours (overtime applies after 40 hours per week)

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities :
Assist residents by unloading household hazardous waste from vehicles (e.g. batteries paint chemicals e-waste and related materials).
Sort and segregate materials into appropriate disposal categories (hazardous waste electronics recyclables etc.).
Follow all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines for handling and storing hazardous materials.
Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
Perform general labor duties as needed.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications :
General labor experience required.
Ability to perform heavy lifting.
Forklift operation skills preferred (certification a plus).
Prior experience in hazardous waste handling or disposal preferred.
Strong attention to safety and compliance.
