[job_card.job_description]High school diploma or equivalent Associates degree or higher preferred Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
Job Description
Responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides nurse / clinician with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythm. Monitors heart rhythm patterns to detect, record, and report normal / abnormal heart patterns, normal / abnormal ECG interval measurements and proper / improper pacemaker or implantable defibrillator function utilizing telemetry equipment.

8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
- Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm patterns and prior variances.
- Observes cardiac monitor and notifies the nursing and / or medical staff of any abnormal heart rhythm variances.
- Manages telemetry equipment and supplies.
- Must successfully complete a competency examination as defined by department competency requirements for Telemetry Monitor Technicians.
