Handa Developers Group is seeking an experienced and visionary Construction Director to oversee residential real estate development and construction projects. In this leadership role, you'll manage large-scale residential developments from concept to completion, ensuring exceptional quality, adherence to timelines, and budgetary control. The Construction Director will be pivotal in building and leading a team while maintaining a friendly, collaborative work culture that values every team member.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all phases of residential construction projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Lead and mentor a team of project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, permitting, and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to refine designs and resolve issues.

Monitor project performance, implement improvements, and proactively manage risks.

Oversee vendor and subcontractor selection, contract negotiation, and performance.

Provide leadership and professional development opportunities to construction teams.

Leverage technology and tools to streamline construction processes and reporting.

Maintain clear and consistent communication with leadership, stakeholders, and clients.

Qualifications

Active CSLB Class B License highly preferred (or willingness to obtain).

10+ years of experience in new single-family home development and construction.

Proven leadership experience managing multiple large-scale residential projects simultaneously.

Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.

Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure.

Proficiency with construction management software and technology tools.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to team collaboration.
