JOB SUMMARY:

Under supervision of the Claims Management, the Lead Adjuster performs tasks and duties that will help prepare the Lead Adjuster for a leadership role. The Lead Adjuster will have responsibilities and job functions, which includes but is not limited to:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in the review automobile claim investigations.

2. Make handling recommendations and provide directions in claim files.

3. Assist in the development of new hires, which may include training and or one on one coaching.

4. Assist in the training and development of Adjuster Trainees

5. Ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within company standards and industry best practices and regulations.

6. Investigate, evaluate, and resolve automobile claims in a timely and efficient manner.

7. Assist and handle phone call escalations as necessary.

8. Document investigations, evaluations, recommendations, and plans of action

9. Produce grammatically correct and clearly written correspondence including letters, memos, reports and claim file documentation.

10. Exhibit exceptional customer service, maintain a positive customer relationship, and exhibit a courteous and professional demeanor.

11. Assist in the operations of the claims department, including making recommendations and implementing organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

12. Maintain a documented system of claims policies, systems, procedures and workflows to ensure smooth operations.

13. Provide feedback to Management on process and system improvement initiatives for the department.

14. Report to Management as soon there is an awareness of any issues or concerns which may be detrimental to the department or Company; recommend policies and procedures to Management regarding quality issues that may arise.

15. Complies with state and federal laws, Department of Insurance criteria, insurance carrier criteria and follows and enforces Aspire General Insurance Company and partner’s policies, procedure and work rules.

16. Ability to achieve targeted performance goals.

17. Maintain that sensitive information regarding employees and the Company is kept confidential.

18. Regular and predictable punctuality and attendance.

19. Other duties as necessary.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

1. One year claims experience in Non-Standard Property and Casualty insurance industry;

2. Must have a clear understanding of insurance industry practices, standards and terminology;

3. Experience handling both auto property damage.

4. Must have a disciplined approach to all job-related activities.

5. Must have a solid foundation of personal organization, sound decision making and analytical skills, strong interpersonal and customer service skills;

6. Ability to work in a fast paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously;

7. Ability to achieve targeted performance goals.

INTER-RELATIONSHIP COMPONENT:

1. Ability to develop excellent working relationships with staff, clients, Partners and outside agencies;

2. Ability to communicate with others in an effective and friendly manner, one that is conducive to being a conscientious team member, fostering a spirit of good will, indicative of a professional environment and atmosphere;

3. Ability to be a team player and work cohesively with other Company Partners and Companies staff to achieve company goals;

4. Able to represent the company in a professional manner and contribute to the corporate image;

5. Able to consistently provide excellent client service.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. This position may require mandatory overtime as deemed appropriate by management.

2. The office is that of a highly technical company supporting a paperless environment.

3. This work environment is fast-paced, and accuracy is essential to successful task completion;

4. Requires extended periods of computer use and sitting.
