Two levels of care are offered : standard care for veterans in need of any intermediate level of care, and memory care for veterans with Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia.

Starting Hourly Pay : $43.09 with multiple pay increases over your first years of serviceSuperior medical coverage starts the 1st of the month following start dateDental, vision, and basic life insurance premiums are free after eligibility period dependent on union representationGenerous Benefits package including vacation, sick, holiday, and personal leaveOPERS retirement - The employee contributes 10% of their salary towards their retirement. The employer contributes an amount equal to 14% of the employee's salary.Key Job Responsibilities :
Supervises direct care nursing staff; assists in planning, directing & evaluating all nursing care services; establishes & implements nursing care programs; serves as nursing liaison with other units to ensure services are coordinated; directs record keeping & reporting procedures; coordinates nursing services with other resident services; conducts & / or attends health care meetings; provides leadership for quality assurance functions & requisitions medical supplies or equipment; communicates with resident families, physicians & specialists; investigates care / abuse complaintsCoordinates scheduling, assessments, planning, evaluation & delivery of all nursing with appropriate healthcare providers; develops, schedules, conducts & monitors in-service training programs; attends meetings; attends workshops & seminars; writes & reviews reports; coordinates staffing schedules, approves / disapproves leave requests in absence of staffing coordinator; provides direct professional nursing care to patients; administers emergency care & first aid; conducts nursing rounds & assesses patients & administers medications during absence of nursing staffApplication Procedures :

Qualifications :
Requires current licensure as registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio; 24 mos. exp. as registered nurse; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in counseling; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in interviewing; 3 courses or 9 mos. exp. in public relations; 3 courses or 9 mos. exp. in employee training & development; 6 courses or 18 mos. exp. in management. -Or 6 mos. exp. as Nurse 2, 65513. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated licensure.Job Skills : Nursing
