Your Role :
- Lead verification and validation auditing activities for forest carbon projects aligned with recognized programs including the California Air Resources Board and Verified Carbon Standard.
- Conduct on-site field assessments encompassing forest inventory audits, growth analysis, boundary checks, and stakeholder engagement.
- Analyze carbon quantification data and project documentation to ensure protocol accuracy and compliance.
- Utilize advanced modeling tools such as FVS and Remsoft Woodstock for evaluating project sustainability.
- Perform GIS analysis and cartography to support verification efforts.
- Develop comprehensive verification and validation reports that meet registry requirements.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior analysts while aiding in the development of training materials.
- Assist in timberland management through inventory design and spatial analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure technical quality and resource coordination.
- Represent TUV SUD professionally while building relationships within the forestry and carbon sectors.
Your Qualifications :
B.S. / B.A. in Forestry or a related field.At least 5 years of experience in forestry or a related discipline, with a minimum of 2 years focused on forest carbon project work.Strong expertise in forest inventory measurement and sampling techniques.Proficiency in ESRI GIS software and database management tools.Experience with forest carbon modeling tools.Ability to work effectively in remote and adverse conditions.Excellent navigation skills using GPS and traditional maps.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean record.A commitment to obtain state Professional Forester or SAF Certified Forester credentials within one year.Willingness to secure necessary verifier credentials promptly.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.What We Offer :

The anticipated annual salary range for this full-time role is $90,000 - $120,000 .
