LPN-PRN

To provide nursing care according to physician orders and in conformance with recognized nursing techniques, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies, subject to personality and mood changes of residents. Position requires some lifting and turning of residents and ability to effectively handle emergency situations of all types.

All duties must be done in a kind, considerate, gentle manner, with resident rights considered in all interactions.

TYPE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED/USED:

BP cuff, stethoscope, scales, wheelchair, walker, telephone and a various other medical equipment.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an LPN in the State of South Carolina
• Knowledge of the principles, methods, and standards of professional nursing
• Able to communicate effectively with residents and staff
• Able to give suitable instructions and assignments to employees and supervise employee performance
• Familiar with the organization, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility as they relate to nursing services
• Knowledge of the practice of Gerontological Nursing
• Must be a team player.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, turning, moving and transporting residents.
