Merchandise Handler II

The Merchandise Handler II plays a vital role in the effective operation of our distribution center. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities to ensure that the highest quality product reaches our customers. A day in the life as a Merchandise Handler II...

Inspect all local delivery items for product quality, consistency, characteristics, damage, dye lot and finish

Work and coordinate with furniture shop technicians for any product repairs and touch ups needed prior to delivery

Communicate with delivery department Lead on all issues related to product inspections and delivery status of workload on a daily basis

Assist merchandise handlers with the organization and verification of all items for local deliveries

Cleans up and disposes boxes, packing material, and pallets, as well as general housekeeping of facility and specific product line areas

Rotates through different departments, as necessary, to meet the demands of the business

Participates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position

Performs all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goals

2+ Years of experience preferred
