Accountant - Confidential Organization

Location : On-site, River North, Chicago, IL (public transit accessible, company paid parking provided)

Employment Type : Full-Time

Compensation : $65,000 - $75,000 per year, plus annual discretionary bonus

Schedule : Monday-Friday, standard business hours (flexible start / end times available)

About the Opportunity

A well-established, rapidly growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join its finance team. This is a high-impact, on-site role with opportunities for professional growth and advancement. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, financial analysis, and reporting, and will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries; adjust account balances monthly
• Compile and analyze account information for reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Support operational budgeting and long-term financial projections
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, and tax preparation
• Provide financial reports for internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with the Controller and finance leadership on special projects
