Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document care as required by policy and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to effectively assess patient conditions.
- Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs and their responses to care.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Administer both over-the-counter and prescription medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop personalized Plans of Care for patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high professional nursing standards.
Minimum Requirements :
Graduation from an accredited nursing program, obtaining a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.Current NYS Registered Nurse license.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time management skills.Knowledge of quality improvement concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center, where we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
