Reno Staffing is looking for an Fittings Coordinator for an Industrial Hose Manufacturer in the Sparks, NV area.

Our client manufactures high end hoses such as gas, pressure washing, and sand blasting hoses, to name a few. Shift : Monday - Friday 8 : 00 a.m. - 4 : 30 p.m.

Pay : $18 / hr. Temp to Hire

Location : Sparks NV, 89434 (bus line accessible)

Summary :

The Fittings Coordinator is responsible for maintaining inventory of fittings, cycle counting all inventory, pulling fittings for orders and calculating the cut length for various assemblies. May also be responsible for processing orders on the floor through various stages which may include prepping, testing, finishing, shipping and or receiving.

This position is considered safety sensitive. A safety sensitive position refers to a job in which the employee, holding this position, is responsible for his / her own safety or other people's safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, sales orders, floor travelers and / or prints
  • Adheres to standards of quality and accuracy utilizing prints and other standards for inspection
  • Utilize kiosk (computer) to find and follow standard work procedures
  • Pull components for order and move to next operation on traveler
  • Calculate the cut-length for assemblies based on documents supplied with order
  • Perform cycle counting of inventory on a weekly basis as required
  • Prepping hoses utilizing cutting equipment, crimpers and other hand tools
  • Testing assemblies utilizing air, water, gas and Helium Mass Spec equipment
  • Finishing assemblies utilizing buffing, grinding, polishing, covering, tagging, painting and / or packaging assemblies per standards
  • Perform Housekeeping in and around facility to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Use Forklift / Tow Motor to move shipments and material, load and unload stock trucks and machines, and / or change gas tanks.

Competency :

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of using measuring instruments.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Must be able to bend, squat, twist and kneel
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • A resume with relevant work experience and interview is required. Upon accepting an offer a drug test may be required after interview but will not test for THC.
