Overview
The Stewardship and Events Manager is responsible for designing implementing and coordinating an institution-wide comprehensive donor stewardship strategy that appropriately and consistently promotes interaction with and recognition of donors. Primarily working with the mid-tier level and unassigned donors but collaborating with major and principal gift officers supporting stewardship of assigned donors as needed. This role reports to and works closely with the Senior Director of Giving and Engagement (SDGE) and often collaborates with other members of the broader Advancement addition to stewardship management this role in collaboration with the SDGE manages event logistics fundraising activities data entry and research and special projects as assigned. Responsibilities
Support Unassigned and Mid-Tier Portfolio
- With the Senior Director of Giving and Engagement (SDGE) create and execute stewardship plans for sustainers and the unassigned portfolio review donor velocity changes to identify individuals who might be ready for MGO assignment
- Stewardship of the Sustainers group including acknowledgment and membership recognition throughout the year working with MGOs where appropriate for assigned Sustainer donors
- Support researching unassigned donors and other prospects as needed
- Support fundraising for the annual Ride for Refugees and Immigrants and other special events as assigned
Event Logistics Support
Gather event information internally and participate in event brainstorming and planningConduct event research for small scale events (venues vendors and speakers etc.)Prepare and manage event registration processes and databases; support all outreach communicationManage day-of event logistics including event materials names tags and registration lists and registration tableSupport events on the macro level (organizations annual calendar) and micro level (event detail planning)Conduct follow-up and outreach to donors and other event attendees as neededSupport the planning and execution of Leadership Council quarterly meetings World Refugee Day Events site-specific Open Houses volunteer events and other small-scale events as assignedSpecial Engagement Events :
Work with SDGE to manage the event logistics for house parties with the MGO team and manage post event follow up for donors who are unassignedWork with the MGO team to develop attendee profiles as requiredDeliver mission-focused experiences by overseeing the efficient operation of all logistical and hosting details before during and after internal special events such as house parties.Administrative and Development Support
Work with the Advancement staff to update and create SOPs documenting Advancement department procedures as neededSupport the Grants team with event sponsorship applications as neededSupport the Advancement team with fundraising activities as neededPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisorRequired Skills / Abilities

Expected to travel to all three IINE locations as needed working primarily in the Boston office; the position requires access to reliable transportation.Requires occasional night and weekend events and work.Exposure to bright overhead office lighting use of office technology such as laptops printers mail machines and other in-office equipment.This role usually works in an office setting and event setting.This position spends a great deal of time connecting with people through phone calls in-person and virtual meetings.This position must work well with people and value teamwork.This position requires independent travel and flexibility to meet with donors event guests and speakers according to their schedules and availability.Physical Demands
