Job Summary
We are searching for an experienced Pet Groomer to join the team at Cats & Dogs Inc. As a Pet Groomer, you will bathe and cut the dogs and/or cats hair according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences. You will also trim nails, clean ears, detangle hair and generally ensure that pets look and feel their best. If you are reliable, compassionate, and have a love for pets, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Brush and detangle or remove matted fur
• Bathe dogs and dry coat
• Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests
• Examine for parasites or other skin conditions
• Trim nails
• Ensure the safety of dogs at all times
• Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners
• Keep grooming station clean and sanitary and help with towel laundry

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dog grooming technician or similar role
• Comfortable working with anxious animals
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds
• Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education
• Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners
• Strong attention to detail
